I’m Mia! Your strength coach and biggest believer in what you’re capable of.

I’m on a mission to help you ditch the scale and toxic diet culture by learning how to fall in love with lifting weights while also taking care of your mind, body and soul.

What I’m All About

The fitness industry has convinced us, as women, that:

  • Smaller is better

  • Exercise is punishment

  • Your worth is measured in pounds lost

  • You need to earn your food or “fix” your body

And honestly? I’m SO over it.

As The Strength Girl, I challenge every bit of that toxic messaging and create a space where women can build strength that actually serves them - physically, mentally and emotionally.

Because when you stop trying to shrink yourself and start celebrating what your body is capable of, you start finding your true strength.

And that’s what I’m here for: to help you become the strongest, most capable version of yourself.

How I Got Here (Spoiler Alert: It Wasn’t Easy!)

The short version? I used to be where you are.

Growing up, I was both a competitive dancer and a soccer player which meant I was constantly comparing my body to two very different “ideal” standards.

Dancers were supposed to be tall, lean and elegant. Soccer players were strong, sturdy and powerful. Guess which body type I had?

I spent years feeling like I didn’t fit the mold, like my body was ‘wrong’ somehow. So, I did what so many of us do… I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I started running on a treadmill for 2 hours a day, eating 800-1000 calories, obsessing over every pound, every meal and every ‘slip-up’

Yes, I lost weight. But I also lost so much more.

My hair started falling out in clumps. I lost my period for over a year. I was sick constantly. I had zero energy. And my body was breaking down from microinjuries because I was overtraining and under-recovering.

From the outside, I ‘looked good’. But inside I was so miserable and exhausted. I was running myself into the ground.

Even when I hit my goal weight, it wasn’t good enough. The goalposts just kept moving and I was trapped in a cycle of punishment, restriction and self-hate.

This all changed when I discovered strength training.

Not the kind that was about calories or toning up. But real, progressive strength training that focused on what my body was capable of vs. what it looked like.

For the first time in my life, I wasn’t working out as a punishment. I was working out because it made me feel powerful and strong.

I learned how to fuel my body properly, how to recover and how to set goals that weren’t dependent on the number on the scale. Slowly but surely, I started to heal. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.

That’s when I realized: If strength training could change my life this much, imagine what it could do for other women who are stuck in the same toxic cycle.

So I committed to going to school and learning how to help women feel strong and confident in their own skin. Because I believe that every woman deserves that - including you.

The Strength Space

All of my coaching - whether it’s 1:1 training, Learn to Lift or The Lifting Club - takes place at The Strength Space, my private boutique gym.

This isn’t your typical big-box gym. It’s a safe, supportive and judgement-free zone where you can focus on your training. There’s no intimidation, no equipment hogging and no gym bros allowed.

What makes it different:

  • Small and intentional. There’s no packed classes or fighting for equipment. Just you, your training and the support you need.

  • Welcoming and empowering. Whether you’ve never touched a barbell or you’re already confident in the gym, you belong here.

  • Built for like-minded women. This is a space designed specifically for you - women who want to get strong and feel good doing it.

What Working Together Really Looks Like

What Working Together Really Looks Like

I don’t believe in cookie-cutter plans or rigid one-size-fits-all programs. Your body, your life and your goals are unique and I’m passionate about honouring that.

  • Not where you think you ‘should’ be (I hate that word). Not where some generic program expects you to be. But exactly where you are right now - and we build from there.

  • Because true strength isn’t just about how much you can lift. It’s about how you show up for yourself in every area of your life.

  • No extreme diets here. No all-or-nothing plans. I help you develop realistic, sustainable habits that you can maintain long-term.

  •  You’re not going to be shamed, criticized or made to feel like you’re not doing enough. You get to try, fail, learn and grow.

  •  My job isn’t just to give you a workout plan and send you on your merry little way to figure it out for yourself. I help you see what you’re capable of and prove it to yourself.
